1. Introduction
By using the Gothic Notes application, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. Our philosophy is simple: your notes are yours, and they should stay on your device.
2. Data Collection
We are committed to data minimization.
- Local Storage: The Application is designed to function offline. All notes, text, images, and videos created or imported into the Application are stored locally on your device.
- No Servers: We do not upload your personal content to any external servers, cloud storage, or databases owned by Karzi-Tech.
- No Accounts: You do not need to create an account to use the app. We do not possess your email or phone number.
3. Permissions
To provide specific features, the Application requires the following permissions:
- Camera: Required to capture photos and videos directly within notes.
- Storage (READ/WRITE): Required to save your data to your device storage.
- Media Access: (Android 13+) Required to select images and videos from your gallery to add to your notes.
4. Advertising & Third-Party Services
While the app is primarily offline, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data to provide personalized ads, including:
- Advertising ID (AAID): A unique, resettable ID for advertising.
- Usage Data: Metrics on how you interact with ads.
- Cookies: Used to serve ads based on prior visits.
You can manage your Google Ad Settings and opt-out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Since data is stored locally, it remains on your device as long as the Application is installed.
To Delete Data: You can delete specific notes within the app. To delete all data, simply uninstall the application. This will remove all database files generated by the app.
